Why Coffee Pods prices are in constant increase?

Coffee consumption in France: Some Figures
Today, coffee is the drink most consumed daily in France after water. Indeed, this drink has become ubiquitous and essential for the French people and for the national economy.

Nearly 90% of the French population drinks coffee. The French are the 8th largest consumers of coffee: with an average of 5.8 kg of coffee consumed each year, they are just behind the Americans.

The wealthiest French people drink more coffee than others.
French households would devote an increasing portion of their budget to drinks consumed at home. Their choices depend on geographical as well as economic factors.

The rise of coffee among the better-off and the lack of interest among less well-off households can be explained by the price of the product, according to a February 2020 INSEE study. The price of coffee is constantly rising, especially since the introduction of coffee pods.

Ecopods is changing the game!
When we decided to enter the reusable capsule segment, our first wish was to counter the immense ecological disaster represented by disposable capsules.

Beyond that, we discovered a major social divide: because of their price, many French people no longer have access to quality coffee at home.

We carried out a simulation of your costs with traditional Nespresso® capsules compared to Ecopods™ capsules filled with the same Nespresso® ground coffee.

The result is staggering.

Not only will you expand the range of coffees you can consume by switching to ground coffee, but you will also benefit financially.

From the first month, you save 29 € on your traditional capsules, or 354 € / year per person.
